In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, please donate below to support the West Side Campaign Against Hunger.
It's a THING (Trinity Hunger Initiative and Networking Group) is a service group founded at the Trinity School by students Eugenia Lopez Gaffney and Amanda Pantzer. The service group works alongside The West Side Campaign Against Hunger.
Most people are not aware of the hunger statistics in New York City. In New York City alone there are 1.2 million food insecure people. Hunger is not an issue because there is not enough food in the world, it is an issue because of poverty and the lack of nutrition education.
The mission for It's a THING (Trinity Hunger Initiative and Networking Group) is to inform people on the facts and consequences of hunger, and to spread awareness on ways to help those who are affected.
FOOD PANTRIES NEED HELP! Food pantries such across New York City are closing in response to COVID-19, and food prices are rising. Volunteer numbers are down due to quarantine, and now there is a bigger demand for food than ever. Your donations will go to the West Side Campaign Against Hunger as they continue to support our community during this time. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
